What you are reading

This page explains what this site is and how it is put together, so that visitors know exactly what they are reading and what they are not.

What this site does

The site builds a dedicated page for each company on the public issuer list published by the Nigerian Exchange. Each page gathers the basic facts that the exchange makes available and presents them in a single, readable layout. Alongside the local listings, the site also prepares pages on frequently searched US shares, giving a short factual overview and a chart widget so that visitors can see how those instruments have traded.

The site also sets out trading hours and public holidays, so that visitors can tell when the exchange is open and when it is closed.

We go further into neighbouring questions in What a stock exchange does and what an index measures and Why this site gives no stock tips, and how to judge any tip you meet.

What this site does not do

How the site is paid for

The site carries a single sponsored link from a broker, clearly marked as sponsored, covering contracts for difference on foreign instruments. That sponsorship is what keeps the pages free to read. It has no bearing on the public facts shown on any company page.

Pages are compiled automatically from public data, so details can lag the source and should be checked against the exchange before being relied upon.
