Netflix, Inc. is an American media company whose shares are listed on NASDAQ under the ticker NFLX; it is not traded on the Nigerian Exchange, so the information below comes from that US listing rather than from a local market. The company was founded by Reed Hastings and Marc Randolph in Scotts Valley, California, and is currently headquartered in Los Gatos, California.
Its business spans streaming media, DVD-by-mail and film production. In addition to its headquarters, the company operates production facilities at the Hollywood studios in Los Angeles, formerly the old Warner Brothers studios, and at Albuquerque Studios, formerly ABQ Studios. Netflix was founded in 1997.
